Baumalight SWF580‑D530 SkidWing
New Equipment from Baumalight
Ensuring quality backed by manufacturer warranty & support.
The Baumalight SWF580‑D530 2048 SkidWing is a heavy‑duty skid steer boom flail mower engineered for professional roadside, ditch, fence line and open field vegetation management. Built to deliver powerful performance and extended reach, this model combines a robust D530 bent‑axis hydraulic motor with a 48‑inch flail cutting head capable of mulching grass, brush and light woody growth up to 2″ in diameter. Its multi‑segment Boom & Stick design provides up to 14 feet (168″) of horizontal reach, allowing operators to access steep banks and hard‑to‑reach areas without repositioning the carrier. Designed for use with medium to large skid steer loaders (minimum 8,000 lbs), the SWF580‑D530 offers stable operation, fold‑up transport capability and heavy‑duty construction for demanding vegetation clearing tasks.
Features & Benefits
- Up to 14‑Foot Horizontal Reach: Multi‑segment boom delivers extended access to ditches, slopes and embankments without moving the machine.
- 48″ Flail Cutting Head: Wide cutting capacity covers more ground per pass and speeds up vegetation control.
- D530 Hydraulic Motor: High‑efficiency bent‑axis piston motor maximizes performance using your skid steer’s auxiliary flow (approx. 20–40 GPM).
- Effective Brush & Woody Growth Control: Capable of shredding vegetation up to ~2″ diameter for thorough clearing.
- Floating Deck Support: Solid flat‑free tire and floating steel roller allow the deck to follow ground contours while reducing load on the skid steer.
- Durable Flail Blades: Standard 200‑series flail teeth are replaceable; optional heavy‑duty blade kits available for tougher conditions.
- Heavy‑Duty Construction: Reinforced boom and frame design handle demanding field conditions and increased stress.
- Boom Fold‑Up Design: Boom and stick fold vertically for safe trailering and narrow gate navigation.
- In‑Cab Control Compatibility: Integrates with standard 14‑pin electrical connections and skid steer factory joystick controls.
