OVERVIEW

Whether you’re clearing scrap metal, demolition waste, brush, storm debris, or general jobsite trash — the Haugen Bucket Grapple turns your skid steer into a heavy-duty clean-up machine. Designed for scrap yards, construction sites, farms, municipal clean-up, and debris-handling operations, this grapple bucket offers strong clamping power, robust build quality, and versatile size options — delivering reliability and efficiency when handling mixed materials, from metal scrap and concrete rubble to bulky debris and waste.

At the core of the Bucket Grapple’s design is a single grapple clam with bolt-on teeth that ensures a secure grip on irregular, heavy, or bulky loads — whether scrap metal, broken concrete, demolition waste, or mixed debris.  The grapple is powered by industrial 2.5" x 10" hydraulic cylinders, giving smooth, powerful motion and strong holding force under load, even when materials are uneven or jagged.

Recognizing the varied workloads customers face, Haugen offers the Bucket Grapple in three bucket widths — 72", 78", and 84" — making it easy to match the attachment to your skid steer size, lift capacity, and work volume.  All models share a 36" grapple opening and 38" bucket depth, giving a broad and deep bucket capable of carrying substantial scrap loads. Because the sides are removable, you get added flexibility: leaving the sides on for contained loads or removing them for bulky waste and irregular material that doesn’t fit in a standard bucket.

For scrap yards, demolition sites, and waste handling operations — where load shapes and content vary constantly — this versatility is critical. The Bucket Grapple excels at grabbing loads that a standard bucket would struggle with: tangled metal, scrap piles, bulky debris, large irregular waste, or mixed material consisting of concrete, metal, and construction waste.

Moreover, the use of bolt-on teeth means maintenance is easier and more cost-effective: when teeth wear down, they can be replaced instead of replacing the entire bucket or grapple assembly. The industrial cylinders, heavy structural steel, and robust welds ensure durability under daily heavy-duty use — perfect for contractors, salvage yards, rental fleets, and municipalities.

In terms of efficiency, the Bucket Grapple drastically reduces the number of passes needed to clear a site. Because you can clamp and carry irregular loads with a single pass, load times decrease, transport cycles shorten, and dump loads are heftier — boosting productivity on cleanup jobs, demolition sites, scrap yards, and construction zones. For anyone who handles scrap or waste regularly, this grapple becomes a time-saving, productivity-boosting asset.

FAQs

What kind of material can the Bucket Grapple handle?

It’s built for scrap, metal, concrete chunks, demolition debris, waste materials, bulky trash, mixed debris loads, and general cleanup tasks. The bolt-on teeth and strong hydraulic grapple ensure a secure hold on irregular loads.

What are grapple buckets used for?

A grapple bucket is used for grabbing, lifting, carrying, and clearing bulky or irregular materials that a standard bucket cannot securely hold. Grapple buckets are ideal for handling scrap metal, logs, brush, rocks, demolition debris, construction waste, storm cleanup, and mixed debris loads. The hydraulic grapple arms clamp down on the material, providing secure gripping, better control, and safer transport during cleanup, land clearing, and jobsite operations.

Are all grapple buckets universal?

No, not all grapple buckets are universal.

Most modern grapple buckets are built with a universal skid steer quick-attach mount, which fits many brands like Bobcat, CAT, Case, John Deere, Kubota, New Holland, Gehl, and Takeuchi. However, some models use brand-specific or machine-specific mounts—especially on telehandlers, compact tractors, mini loaders, and older skid steers.
