Ensuring quality backed by full manufacturer warranty & support.
The Star Industries 175DG-84 Demolition Grade Skid Steer Grapple Bucket represents the absolute pinnacle of the Star Industries grapple bucket lineup — the widest, heaviest, and highest-capacity model available, purpose-built for operators running high-powered track-style skid steers on the most extreme demolition, land clearing, and bulk material handling applications. At 84" wide with a 28 cuft grapple capacity and a 45" grapple opening, the 175DG-84 delivers unmatched coverage, containment, and material throughput in a single, field-proven attachment. From dense brush and large timber to heavy concrete rubble and mixed demolition debris, this grapple bucket secures and moves the biggest loads on the biggest sites with complete confidence.
Every dimension of the 175DG-84 has been upgraded beyond the standard 175 series to meet Demolition Grade requirements. The 1" × 8" cutting edge provides more aggressive ground penetration and longer-lasting edge performance than the standard ¾" × 6" blade, while the 39" bucket depth and 21" back height provide greater material containment for oversized and bulky loads. The ¾" plate bucket bottom, 3/16" plate bucket back, ½" plate sides, and ½" bottom wear protection ribs deliver a structural package built to absorb the repeated heavy impacts and abrasive wear that intensive demolition and land clearing operations demand — day after day, season after season. At 1,200 lbs empty weight, this is the most substantial attachment in the range, matched to the most powerful machines on the job site.
Independently controlled grapple arms adjust for uneven and irregularly shaped loads, end plates on both sides contain loose materials during transport, and the 45" opening accommodates even the most oversized and difficult-to-grip loads that would challenge narrower grapples. HD welded hydraulic cylinders (2" × 10" × 1½"), included hydraulic hoses and flat-faced couplers, built-in fitting protection covers, and zip-tied hose lines on a heavy spring complete a package engineered for maximum uptime and minimum field maintenance. Proudly made or assembled in the USA by Star Industries, a trusted manufacturer of professional-grade equipment attachments since 1982.
Features & Benefits
- 84" Maximum-Width Demolition Grade Grapple — The widest model across the entire Star Industries grapple bucket range; maximum ground coverage per pass for the largest and most demanding job sites.
- 28 CuFt Grapple Capacity — The highest capacity in the Star Industries grapple bucket lineup; moves the most material per cycle with fewer total dump runs per job.
- 45" Extra-Wide Grapple Opening — Accommodates the largest, most oversized, and most irregularly shaped loads that narrower grapples simply cannot handle.
- Demolition Grade Designation — Engineered for the most extreme job site conditions; specifically recommended for track-style skid steers and machines rated 70 HP or 3,500 lbs. or greater.
- Upgraded 1" × 8" Cutting Edge — Heavier and taller than the standard ¾" × 6" blade; delivers more aggressive digging performance and superior long-term edge durability in hard or compacted ground.
- Independently Controlled Grapple Arms — Each arm adjusts independently to precisely and securely grip uneven, awkward, and irregularly shaped loads across any terrain.
- End Plates for Loose Material Containment — Side end plates prevent loose materials from spilling during transport for safer, cleaner, and more efficient load management.
- ¾" Plate Bucket Bottom — Heavy-gauge bottom plate provides maximum structural strength and wear resistance under the most intensive digging and loading cycles.
- 3/16" Plate Bucket Back — Solid back panel construction maintains bucket rigidity and integrity under repeated heavy load cycles.
- ½" Plate Steel Sides — Thick side panels deliver long-term durability and impact resistance against rocks, concrete, timber, and heavy demolition debris.
- ½" Bottom Wear Protection Ribs — Integrated ribs shield the bucket floor from ground abrasion, significantly extending bucket bottom service life.
- ½" Grapple Thickness — Full half-inch grapple arm steel provides powerful clamping strength and reliable resistance to bending under extreme load conditions.
- HD Welded Hydraulic Cylinders (2" × 10" × 1½") — Heavy-duty welded cylinders deliver consistent, powerful grip force for secure, controlled handling of the heaviest and largest loads.
- Hydraulic Hoses & Flat-Faced Couplers Included — Ready for immediate field connection; flat-faced couplers prevent fluid spillage and contamination during attachment and removal.
- Built-In Fitting Protection Covers — Integrated shields guard hydraulic fittings from impact and debris damage, reducing maintenance frequency and extending service life.
- Hose Lines Zip-Tied to Heavy Spring — Prevents hydraulic hoses from being pinched during grapple arm operation, protecting lines and reducing the risk of field failures.
- Proudly Made/Assembled in the USA — Backed by Star Industries, a trusted American manufacturer since 1982.
